Doce Campanas
An original festive flamenco song and a filmed performance of a small Seville show: a singer, a dancer and one guitar.
The brief, verbatim
Can you make me a flamenco song and a video of it being performed? Last New Year's Eve I went to a flamenco show in Seville and loved it, and I'd like to relive that moment. It was a small show: a singer, a dancer next to her, and one guy on guitar behind them. The singer and the dancer kind of took turns, she'd sing, then the dancer would take over with the footwork, back and forth. Make it an original song, but something that feels classic and familiar. Around 50 seconds is good, I just want a nice track.
What the studio made
"Doce Campanas": an original bulería sung in Spanish, about fifty seconds, where the singer takes a verse, then the voice drops out for guitar, palmas and footwork, the dancer's turn, before the singer returns and it ends on one hard strike. Beside it, the performance film of the same piece in a candlelit tablao, and the cover.
