Four practices
What each group is handed, in its own first sentence.
-
Litigation
Harwell Brandt’s Litigation Group is handed business disputes that could not be settled across a table: owners who have turned on each other, a contract one side stopped performing, an employee who left with something that belonged to the company, and the appeal that follows a trial.
-
Employment
Harwell Brandt’s Employment Group is handed the problems that come with having employees: a charge of discrimination, a wage claim brought on behalf of a whole warehouse, a manager who resigned and took the customer list, a handbook that no longer matches Pennsylvania or Philadelphia law.
-
Construction
Harwell Brandt’s Construction Group is handed projects that have run over budget or behind schedule, and the contracts that decide who pays: delay claims, unpaid change orders, defective work, a contractor’s default, and the negotiation that comes before any of it, when the contract is still a draft.
-
Health Care Regulatory
Harwell Brandt’s Health Care Regulatory Group is handed the problems a provider has with the agencies that license it, pay it and police it: a Medicare audit, a state inspection that ends in a notice of revocation, a payment to a referring physician that no longer fits the law, a change of ownership that has to clear licensure and Medicare enrollment before the new owner can bill.
