One cook, a tiny diner, and the lovely panic of being slammed

One cook, a tiny late-night diner, and that lovely panic of being slammed and just barely holding it together.

The brief, verbatim

I want a browser game I can send to my friends and lose an afternoon to. The kind of thing you open in a tab "for one round" and look up an hour later.

Here's the idea: I'm running a tiny late-night diner. Customers come in, each wants something, and I have to cook it, plate it, and get it out before they lose patience. It starts gentle and gets brutal — more customers, more complicated orders, everything at once. The whole feeling I'm after is that lovely panic of being slammed and just barely holding it together.

Make it feel good to play. Snappy, responsive, satisfying — the clicks should feel nice. And put a score on it so my friends and I can fight over it.

Nothing to download, no accounts, no ads. Just a link I send and it works. Make it look cool and a little moody, like the diner's the only thing lit up on the street.

What the room did

A snappy three-verb cooking game (grill, fry, cold, out the pass before patience runs out) that ramps from gentle to brutal, with a high score that sticks in the browser. Delivered as one file friends fight over.
