Hudson Valley & Catskills · Wedding planning

One wedding a weekend.
Never two.

Here's our book.
Check your date before
you fall for a venue.

This is the book
we work from.

Every struck-out date is a wedding we've signed.
Every open one, we can take.

When a contract comes back, the date comes off this page the same day. You'll never fall for a date that left a month ago.

  1. 1
One wedding a weekend. When a Saturday is taken, so are its Friday and Sunday. The couple getting married gets the whole team.
  2. 2
A free 7-day hold.Ask, and an open date is yours for a week while you tour venues. "On hold" means another couple is doing the same.
  3. 3
Six weeks, minimum. That's how long it takes to read every contract and walk your venue twice. Closer than that, we say no.

Add-ons

This estimate runs on our 2027–28 rates. Your proposal follows a 30-minute call, and it lands within 10% of this number or we tell you exactly why.

Kingston, since 2015.

Four planners, one second-floor studio,
240-some weddings between Beacon and Hunter.

We've planned weddings in orchards, barns, backyards, a fire tower meadow and one former bank vault. We drive every venue before it goes on a timeline, and we answer our own email.

The name comes from the old quarter days: four fixed dates a year when agreements began and were kept. We liked the idea of a day that was set long in advance and honoured exactly.

The studio's cloth-bound book open to September on an oak desk, dates pencilled and struck, a run-of-show on a clipboard beside it.

Three ways in.

The difference is how early we join you.
The day itself gets the same team.

Questions

Do you work with our venue's coordinator?

Yes, all the time. The venue's coordinator looks after the building; we look after you, your vendors and your timeline. We send them our run-of-show 2 weeks out so nobody meets on the day.

We already booked some vendors. Is that a problem?

No. We'll read their contracts, keep the ones you love and fill the gaps. Most Halfway In couples come to us with a venue, a photographer and a caterer.

Do you travel?

Within 60 miles of Kingston is home. Farther than that, we add $650 to cover the team's travel and a night's lodging, and we'll tell you before you book.

What does the retainer cover?

35% of your estimate holds your date under contract. The rest is due in two payments: half at the midpoint of our planning, the remainder 30 days before the wedding.

What if our date moves?

Move it once, free, to any open date in our book. After that we treat it as a new booking, with your retainer carried over.

Tell us about the day.

Two minutes. A planner reads every note
the day it comes in.

We'll use this to reply to you. Nothing else.
