Spaces & Architecture · A one-room salon, reimagined
The Studio Suite
A hairstylist's small working room, restaged inside its own walls: same shell, one calm material story.
The brief, verbatim
I'm doing this for my friend. She's a hairstylist/hair replacement. She's been doing this for a very long time. She's really, really good at it. She is operating out of the room I'm showing you right now. This is where she sees all her clients. She sees a lot of clients every day, but it's a small space, and she wants to redecorate it and reimagine it to make it a little more clean and professional. She has a wash station, and as you can see, people can sit in the cutting station, etc. Anyway, we just want to give you just tell us how to make this look amazing and spectacular.
What the studio made
A before-and-after book built from the client's own photos of the room: the cutting station, the craft wall and the wash station, each shown as found and reimagined in warm white oak, aged brass and soft light, with the storage hidden and the wig blocks staged like sculpture. Behind it, a keep / change / buy action plan and a furnishing board of the actual pieces.
