Move the assumptions that drive the number. The whole prototype cost, the component-vs-engineering split, and the first-round funding ask recompute as you drag. Defaults are the delivered cost band, to the euro.
This is a prototype-planning model, not a quote. Every figure is an engineering estimate that lives as a low–high band because at the prototype stage honest ranges are the truth; each range collapses to a point at BOM lock, when written supplier quotes replace estimates. No lever pushes a number outside the band the feasibility read defends.
Everything you type stays in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere.
Eight levers, not every cell. These are the cost drivers the feasibility read names.
Positions every cost line between its lean (low-band) and full (high-band) estimate. The three engineering drivers below can override this individually.
The longest pole. Constant-speed genset engineering — no off-the-shelf unit exists. following posture.
Bespoke ~15 kWh sealed liquid-cooled pack: design, BMS, thermal, abuse test. following posture.
Trellis design, the packaging puzzle, one-off jig/tooling. following posture.
Molicel P42A/P45B high-power 21700 for the ~15 kWh pack. Feasibility read sizes it at ~970 cells.
Grounded band: bulk ~€5 to retail ~€8/cell at prototype quantity. Drives the cell line only.
Used ~€2,300 vs new quote-based €3,500–€6,500. Prototype default blends the band.
Instrumentation + desert test days (40–50 °C, sand, thermal). Leaner = fewer test iterations.
Integration-risk reserve, €40k–€90k (~15–20% of engineering). An insider expects to see it on a first-of-kind build.
A lean senior team + workshop on top of the prototype build. This is what moves the first-round envelope.
