The brief, verbatim
I want a photorealistic Boeing 787 Dreamliner flight deck that runs in my browser, live and lit up. Not a video, not a picture. A working glass cockpit I can open and watch operate, the way a serious flight simulator looks on a screen.
Build it so it actually runs. The displays must be alive: instruments updating continuously and smoothly, needles and tapes moving, numbers ticking, annunciators lighting, the whole panel breathing like a real aircraft in flight. Simulate a full flight profile underneath it, taxi through takeoff, climb, cruise, descent, approach, so the panel has something real to display and the values move the way they would in the air.
The flight deck, done faithfully. This is a real, documented cockpit. Research the actual 787 layout and reproduce it correctly. No invented sci-fi dials, no generic glass cockpit. An airline pilot should look at this and recognize their office. Get in the big five display units and the arrangement around them:
- Primary flight display: attitude indicator, airspeed tape, altitude tape, vertical speed, heading, the flight mode annunciations
- Navigation display: the route, the compass rose, waypoints, terrain and weather where appropriate
- Engine indication and crew alerting: the engine parameters live, N1, EGT, fuel flow, and the alert messages
- The multi-function and systems displays: hydraulics, electrical, fuel, pressurization
- The mode control panel, the throttle quadrant, the overhead panel, the standby instruments
Make it interactive. I should be able to click and it does something: switch the navigation display range or mode, page through the systems synoptics, dial a new altitude or heading into the mode control panel and watch the aircraft respond, acknowledge a caution message, scrub through the flight phases.
The look is the whole point. Photorealistic, not a diagram. The dark of the panel, the depth and glow of the screens, the correct display colors and typography, subtle reflections, the bezels and the physical texture of the flight deck around the glass. It should look like a high-end simulator running on my computer, credible enough to be mistaken for the real thing.
Give me the working thing in the browser, a short note on how to run it, and a word on how the simulated flight data is generated so it could be swapped for a real feed later.
The standard: a 787 pilot opens this, sits back, and says yes, that is my flight deck, and then reaches out to change the altitude and it responds.
What the room did
A single self-contained HTML file, live in the viewer: the cockpit photograph with six live display units cut into its bays and a flight model ticking underneath at 60 frames a second. The MCP dials real altitude, heading, and speed commands and the aircraft responds; the synoptics page through hydraulics, electrical, fuel, and pressurization; cautions raise and acknowledge; the phase slider scrubs taxi through approach.
