Brand Launches · Atelier sketchbook, a winter collection
La Nuit Bleue
The finished work
A winter collection told entirely in sketches, from the day's coats to the evening's gowns, the way a designer works before a single garment exists.
The brief, as it opens
I want to see a fashion collection told entirely through sketches, the way a designer works before a single garment exists. This is the atelier stage: paper and pencil, croquis, the raw beauty of a couturier sketching a first collection. …
What the studio made
Twenty pages of the atelier stage: pencil-and-wash croquis of a women's winter line, the day (a coat, tailoring, knit, a cape, a blazer) building to the evening (a smoking, a column, velvet, a cape for the night and the blue gown that names the collection), with swatches, silhouette studies and a line on each look.
Build your own
You have something to build. Brief the studio in your own words and watch a room of specialists build it.
