Portugal for a 25th anniversary: real places, real days
Portugal for a 25th anniversary, handed over finished: real places, real days, everything she can point at and book.
The brief, verbatim
It's our 25th anniversary next spring and I want to take my wife to Portugal for two weeks — Lisbon and then wherever is actually worth it, not the tourist-trap version. She's the planner and I'm not: I want to hand her something finished that says I thought about this — real places, real days, what things cost, where we eat, trains or driving, all worked out. Budget around $12,000 not counting flights. If she can point at a page and book exactly that, I've won.
Every sentence is something a real person would say — the pressure toward truth ("she's the cautious one," "my mother reads everything twice") is client temperament, not law language. Nothing names sources, tables, spreadsheets, repetition, or naming.
What the room did
Fourteen nights, three doors: Lisbon and the coast with trains versus driving decided and prices worked out, and the anniversary day held light on Day 13. The budget model lands at about $11,500 against the $12,000 mark with a full contingency already folded in, and a private budget simulator lets her test any trade-off in the browser.
