Hey Laura, my annual review is a spreadsheet and a PDF from the insurance company, and clients tell me I changed their life and never mention me to anyone. Make the one page annual review for the family below, in plain words, as a PDF and a template for my other families; a thank you note to send with it; a referral card they can hand a friend; and the email that carries all three. Use every fact exactly as given; no advice beyond what's written here, and no returns. This is a sample; the practice, the family and every figure are invented. I'm Malik Ferrell of Reedy Bend Financial in Greenville, South Carolina; I work with young families. The family: Jordan and Talia Pryce, two children, ages four and one. This year: term life insurance on both parents, $750,000 each for 20 years; disability coverage for Talia; college savings opened for both kids at $150 a month each; the emergency fund grew from $6,000 to $14,500; their wills and guardianship were signed in March. What's next: move Jordan's old workplace retirement plan to his new job's plan, raise the college savings when daycare ends in 2028, and review home insurance after the kitchen renovation. Reach me at malik@reedybend.example or 864 555 0117. My colors are river green and warm white.
