Brand Launches · Leather goods house
A leather goods house with no logos, built from the name up
A luxury leather goods house with no logos: Italian craft, quiet design, objects that get better with age.
The brief, verbatim
I want to launch a luxury leather goods house. Bags, luggage, the small leather things a person carries every day and keeps for twenty years. Not fashion-season stuff. Objects that get better with age.
The register: Italian craft, quiet design, no logos. A weekender you would be proud to put in an overhead bin. A briefcase that means something. Wallets and card cases with the kind of finish you only notice when you hold them.
You create everything, starting with the name. Invent the house, the identity, the story, and own all the creative. Position it on its own merits, do not reference any competitor.
Make the leather the hero. Where it comes from, how it is tanned, why it patinas the way it does, the edge painting, the stitching, the hardware, the lining. The craft story carries the book because the craft is the whole reason someone pays.
Design the debut collection: the hero bag, the weekender, the briefcase, the totes, the small leather goods, the range in a few colorways and leathers. Show the pieces beautifully, hero product shots where you can see the grain, plus real people carrying them in the world.
Then the full book: the brand and identity, the craft story, the collection shot, the campaign, the packaging, how it shows up.
Make it a house someone buys once and tells their kids about.
What the room did
The house invented from the name up. The debut book runs cover to colophon: the mark, the craft story from tannery to edge paint, the collection, the campaign, the packaging. Wordmark, type and palette shipped as production-ready plates.
