Products & Industrial Design · Series-hybrid desert race motorcycle
DUNA
A desert race motorcycle for Baja, re-engineered as software: a series hybrid where the engine never touches the wheel, with the feasibility read and the investor pitch.
The brief, verbatim
Hey Laura I want to build an incredible Italian-superbike-style bike but it’s for Baha / sand terrains . I want to see if it’s feasible to actually build a prototype and pitch it to investors. This needs to be an engineering marvel and maybe a hybrid power train and by wire
What the studio made
DUNA, named and resolved: a 20-page feasibility dossier answering whether it can be built for real — the series-hybrid architecture, a load-bearing bill of materials of real, buyable parts, the mass budget summed component by component, range as a fuel-tank question, thermal loops for desert heat, traction control by wire, nine risks with their mitigations, the prototype cost and the path to a running bike. A 26-slide investor deck in PDF and editable PowerPoint, and the machine in stealth graphite as a hero set.
