Two flippers, a plunger, and physics that make a cradle feel earned
A pinball machine in the browser, the real thing: two flippers, a plunger, and physics that make a cradled ball feel earned.
The brief, verbatim
I want a pinball machine in my browser. The real thing, not a toy version.
Flipper on the left, flipper on the right, one key each. Pull the plunger, launch the ball, and keep it alive. It drains between the flippers and it's over. That tension is the whole game.
The physics have to be right, and this is the part that makes or breaks it. The ball needs real weight. It should carry momentum, bounce off things believably, and go where the angle says it should. Catching a ball on a flipper and cradling it, then flicking it up a ramp, has to feel earned. If the physics feel floaty, it's dead.
Fill the table properly: bumpers that fling it around, ramps worth hitting, targets that light up, something that makes a multiball happen. Give me things to chase, not just a ball bouncing around. And let me nudge the table a little, with a tilt penalty if I get greedy.
Sound matters more than you'd think. The pop of a bumper, the clack of a flipper, the ball rolling. That's half the feeling.
Put a score up and keep my high score in front of me, because beating it is the whole reason I'll keep playing.
Make it look beautiful. Dark, glowing, a proper table with a theme you pick, the light coming off it in a dark room.
No download, no accounts, no ads. A link that works.
