Spaces & Architecture · Interchange pursuit package
SR-146 / Cedar Hollow Parkway
An engineering firm's pursuit for a failing county interchange: a corridor design brief and the public-meeting board, presentation-grade.
The brief, verbatim
We're an engineering firm pitching a county on reconstructing a failing interchange and widening the corridor. Produce the full pursuit package the way a top-ten firm would: the corridor design brief (purpose and need, design intent, typical section, schedule and phasing), plus the public-meeting board — this goes in front of the county commission and a room full of residents. Presentation-grade throughout.
What the studio made
An eight-page corridor design brief built to survive a county engineer reading it line by line: the case for an interchange built for a county that no longer exists, four alternatives as a real decision matrix, the recommended diverging diamond with a before-and-after concept that takes conflict points from 26 to 14, the dimensioned typical section, the four constraints, and phasing with cost. With a single 30x40 public-meeting board for the commission and residents, and a screen version for slides.
