The brief, verbatim
My mother's house finally cleared the estate sale, and now I have to sell a completely empty 1968 colonial that still smells like wallpaper paste. Four bedrooms, good bones, dated everything, and the listing photos of bare rooms are doing it no favors. Pictures attached of every room as it stands. Show me what this house could be: furnish the whole thing in the photos, room by room, warm and current but honest to the house, so a buyer stops seeing an old empty colonial and starts seeing their Sunday morning. I don't need it decorated in real life, I need them to see it.
What the room did
A forty-six second walk through the staged rooms, front door inward, one warm piano underneath, pausing longest in her room. The film plays right here. The twelve-page book follows, every room empty on one side and lived-in on the other, then four of the staged rooms: her bedroom, the living room, the dining room with the wallpaper kept, the bathroom with the pink tile kept.
