Products & Industrial Design · A floor robot that also tidies
The Home Robot
A home robot that doesn't just clean the floor, it tidies it: designed, filmed and pitched like a real company.
The brief, verbatim
Thought about building that robot vacuum cleaner that sweeps the floors, but I want something a little more industrial, nicer, and more fun. Maybe it could be a robot that's doing it. I want you to build me something like that. It's an invention, a concept. I want to see it live. I want to see how it works. I want to see how you design it, and maybe eventually I could just pitch it to somebody and fund it.
What the studio made
A twelve-page pitch book — the one-line idea, why now, the product and its anatomy, the four-second unfold-reach-grasp-place sequence frame by frame, the design system, the wedge and an honest concept-stage ask — with a short reveal film of the machine shown like it's already on a shelf, and design-view sheets explaining materials, build, cleaning and the slender articulated arm. One object throughout: matte bone-white shell, brushed-aluminium band, one orange accent.
