Spaces & Architecture · Modern villa on a Marrakech olive farm
Villa Zitoun
A modern villa on a working olive grove just outside Marrakech, Moroccan only in the quietest touches, designed room by room and walked on film.
The brief, verbatim
Build me a beautiful house in Marrakech Morocco … I still want it modern with some very subtle Moroccan touches .. but very very subtle .. 7000 sqft , assume I bought a 4 acre olive farm that I used some space for the house and the rest is just the grove .. beautiful landscaping throughout that suits that region . House is just a tad outside Marrakech . I want to see every room and also furniture it when you show it to me . Don’t see to see pricing or comps .. this is about design , to see what can be possible . The house had to be stunning with a pool , Hammam and even a little barn for a few bourses.
What the studio made
Villa Zitoun, bound as a 25-page concept monograph: the land, every room composed and furnished — the arrival, the great room, the kitchen, the study, the primary suite, the tadelakt bath and the hammam, the guest rooms — then the loggia and the pool, the barn and paddock, the stable yard, the walled kitchen garden and the courts in the grove. Alongside it, a continuous walkthrough film from the olive allée through the house, past the horses in the low sun and back out to the whole villa, scored with a warm track, and every plate as its own image.
