I want to design a piece of medical hardware properly: a home blood-pressure monitor that an 80-year-old can use without help and without frustration. Every one on the market is confusing and ugly. Design the whole thing: the form, the interface, the enormous obvious buttons, the display, the way it guides someone through a correct reading, the app for the family. Show me the industrial design, the interaction, the renders. Design it so a nervous, arthritic, slightly frightened person feels calm and capable using it. Get the human factors right.
