Full & partial dentures

What it is
Full dentures replace all the teeth on the upper or lower jaw. Partial dentures fill gaps when some natural teeth remain, held by small clasps. Modern dentures look far more natural than most people expect, and we set the teeth to suit your face.
A lower full denture can be hard to keep steady. Two implants that the denture clips onto (an implant-retained denture) make a large difference for many people. Ask us about it.
Who does this here
What to expect, step by step
Exam and impressions
We check your gums and any remaining teeth and take impressions.
Bite and tooth choice
We record how your jaws meet and choose the shape and shade of the teeth with you.
Try-in
You try a wax version with the real teeth set in it, so you can check the look and the bite before it is finished. Bring someone whose opinion you trust.
Delivery
Your finished dentures are fitted and adjusted, and you go home with care instructions.
Adjustments
Sore spots are normal in the first weeks. Adjustment visits are part of the process and included.
How long it takes
Usually four or five visits over four to six weeks. If teeth need removing first, healing adds time; we explain your options, including dentures placed on the same day.
Allow two to four weeks to get used to eating and speaking. Start with soft food cut small.
What it costs
$1,500–$3,600
Typical U.S. range, for a full set (upper and lower), before insurance
Most patients pay somewhere in this range. Your exact cost depends on full or partial, the materials, and whether any extractions are needed first. A single arch costs roughly half.
Most PPO plans cover dentures as major work at around 50% after the deductible.
This is a guide, not our fee and not a quote. After your exam you get a written estimate, and we check your insurance, before anything starts. Call (602) 555-0148 for a quote. Where these ranges come from.
Questions patients ask
Will people be able to tell?
With well-made dentures, most people won’t. The first weeks feel the strangest, and it gets easier.
Do I sleep in them?
We recommend taking them out at night to let your gums rest.
